The Client

Overhead Door Company of Joliet (also known as Middleton Overhead Doors) provides products and services ranging from residential garage doors to commercial overhead doors and openers throughout a six-county area southwest of Chicago.

The Work

Their website was outdated, struggling to keep visitors on-site and failing to generate leads, so they turned to Adventure to inject life into their site and make it a better sales tool.

We built the new website with a modern look and feel to make it more visually pleasing and engaging. Enhancements included more prominent imagery and headers, including homepage carousel, and new content, the most important being a form to request online quotes and a Resources page. The quote request form is a big selling point for Overhead Door Company of Joliet because it provides convenience for prospective customers in an increasingly digital marketplace. With this in mind, we made the quote request prevalent throughout the site — on the Homepage and Contact Us page, as well as with a button on the top navigation.

The Resources page makes it easier for visitors to access brochures, owner’s manuals and warranty information. There is also a section that provides downloadable programming instructions for many types of garage door openers. This section is especially valuable to Overhead Door Company of Joliet because it frees up time for staff who may otherwise be tied up talking customers through the process over the phone.

We also did some work “under the hood” of the website to increase page load speed and optimize for search. One tactic implemented was the inclusion of a News (Blog) page that serves as a resource for prospective customers to see before and after photos of local installations. Overhead Door Company of Joliet received immediate results from their new website as their online quote request submissions in the first two weeks following the new site launch surpassed the online “contact us” submissions on their old site from the previous year by 1600%.
